Baths is the intricate electronic pop project of Los Angeles-area producer Will Wiesenfeld. He began recording his own music in his early teens, but found his true inspiration after discovering Björk’s music. Three years ago, Baths dropped his startlingly beautiful debut, Cerulean. Its tone was as celestial as its album title, taken from a shade of blue typically used to describe the sky. Cerulean earned year-end “Best Of” recognition from Pitchfork and The Onion’s A.V. Club. His sophomore album, Obsidian (also on Anticon) finds him emerging as one of the most completely original artists of his generation.
