Leo Kottke is one of the "living legends" whom we are thrilled to continue presenting year after year at the Iron Horse, and one whose abilities and demeanor have only improved with time. His innovative fingerpicking style has won him five “Best Folk Guitarist” nods (Guitar Player magazine), an induction into the Guitar Player Hall of Fame, two Grammys, and an honorary doctorate. Kottke has released dozens of albums, and some soundtracks. focusing primarily on instrumentals but he also sings sporadically, in an unconventional yet expressive baritone famously self-described as sounding like "goose farts on a muggy day." In concert, Kottke intersperses humorous and free-ranging monologues with selections from throughout his career, played solo on his signature 6- and 12-string guitars.
